Students will review topics from Basic Spanish II and Basic Spanish III and Intermediate Spanish from the Spring 2017 semester.  In addition we will study both types of the past tense, the preterit and the imperfect, the present perfect (I have eaten, she has seen, etc…) and commands.  The class will work to create dialogues that reflect everyday conversation and accomplish useful tasks geared towards preparing one for common real-world situations.

  Students will review topics from Beginner Spanish II and Basic Spanish III from Spring 2017 semester and be introduced to new themes that prepare one for a variety of second-language experiences such as travel, business communication, and more.  Amidst our material, we will review the future tense.  The class will work to create dialogues that reflect everyday conversation and accomplish useful tasks.  Purchase of a Spanish-English dictionary is recommended.  Also, please bring a notebook to write in and a folder for handouts.

Drawing from current events and personal experiences, students will spend most of the class engaging in respectful class discussions. We will review colloquial expressions and share our interests as well. Along the way, we will do a brief review advanced grammar topics, such as the subjunctive and commands. An understanding of the present, imperfect, and preterit tenses is recommended though not required. Purchase of a Spanish-English dictionary is recommended. Also, please bring a notebook to write in and a folder for handouts.
