Pilates is a total body-sculpting system for losing weight and developing long lean muscles. It improves core strength, flexibility, agility and range of motion. Classes are modified to suit your fitness level – beginner or intermediate. Bring a mat and towel to the class (light weights optional). Enrollment limited to 20 students.

  For the major muscle groups, these free-weight exercises will increase muscular strength and endurance and will improve flexibility, range of motion, and body tone. Participants will learn to exercise safely and correctly. All ages and levels of fitness are welcome; progress will be according to ability. Bring an exercise mat and 1- 5 pound weights. Thursday evening class will use dynabands which will be available for purchase ($3 - $5) at the first class.   Enrollment limited to 18 students.

Looking to build or regain muscle tone, balance and range of motion?  This stimulating yet restorative class will help build strength and endurance and improve flexibility.  Participants will learn to exercise safely and correctly.  The chair-based class includes some standing exercises for those who are able, and is perfect for the active older adult who has difficulty with floor exercises.  Students with mild and severe arthritis find the class invaluable.  Participants will work on lower and upper body strength and conditioning, mostly while in a seated position.  Students should bring 1 to 5 lb. weights (optional) and water.  Yoga straps or bands are used to assist in stretching and are available for purchase at first class.
